Peace Education

Learning resources

Resources to support the teaching of peace education to children and young people — through schools, community projects and youth organisations.

Peace Education can equip children and young people with the knowledge, skills and dispositions to take action that will make a difference in their own lives, their communities and the wider world.

The activities provided here can help young people and those who work with them to acquire a range of conflict resolution skills and help promote Coventry as the City of Peace and Reconciliation.

This resource aims to
  • Aid the teaching of peace education to children and young people, whether via the formal curriculum or through community and youth-based projects
  • Help children and young people develop their understanding of citizenship and democracy
  • Develop active learning in communication, interpersonal, and critical and creative thinking skills
